About

Built with intention.

We believe useful software should feel clear, work reliably and respect people’s time.

Why 9VII exists.

A lot of everyday software is louder than it needs to be. More features, more notifications, more steps between you and the thing you came to do.

9VII exists to build the opposite: focused products that solve a real problem and then get out of the way. We build and operate them ourselves, so we can keep improving them over time.

Our product philosophy

A product earns its place by being useful. We decide what not to build as carefully as what to build — and we judge a product by how well it does its job, not by how much it does.

Design and engineering, together.

Design

Interfaces should explain themselves. We favour clear language, predictable behaviour and fewer decisions for the person using the product.

Engineering

Performance, reliability and maintainability are product features. We choose proven tools, test what matters and write code we can support for years.

Operating principles.

Four ideas we return to whenever a decision is hard.

A

Clarity

Say what we mean. Show only what’s needed.

B

Usefulness

Every feature must help someone do real work.

C

Reliability

Software people can depend on, every day.

D

Continuous improvement

Small, steady changes guided by real use.
